Ban on visiting religious places of worship in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU: All the three district administration offices in Kathmandu Valley have banned all worship, mass prayers, and visits to religious places in the valley.

Lalitpur Chief District Officer Ghanshyam Upadhyaya said that the temple visit and worship had been temporarily suspended from Tuesday in view of the growing risk of coronavirus infection. This ban will be in force till mid-February.

The country has been witnessing spiking cases of coronavirus of late.
