Maoist Chair Prachanda tests negative for COVID19 on Sunday



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has recovered from COVID19, testing negative for the virus on Sunday.

According to Surya Kiran, Chair Prachanda’s aide, a PCR test report of Chair Prachanda’s swab sample showed no infection in him on Sunday.

“Chairman Prachanda tested negative in the PCR test for the virus Sunday morning,” Kiran said.

Chair Prachanda, who is also the former Prime Minister, had tested positive for the coronavirus on January 7 and since then had been staying in home isolation at his residence.
