New thought needed for country’s dev: NC Vice President Gurung



WALING: Vice President of the Nepali Congress Dhanraj Gurung has said new thought is imperative for country’s development and prosperity.

Vice President Gurung said it while inaugurating the BP Chowk-Pakari roadway at Suntalitar of Chapakot Municipality-9 in Syangja on Monday. Mere traditional thoughts and behaviour do not bring change, he said, adding, “Long term plan should be formulated and implemented for country’s development.”

Present thought is not new and innovative, he argued. Development activities could be promoted by rising above political interest, the Vice President stressed. He also advocated for the good governance, saying the government led by Nepali Congress must investigate into the huge corruption cases and bring to book the culprits.

According to him, if the NC fights against corruption, it will win the election, and if not, people’s trust on it will erode continuously.
