Woman dies in cylinder explosion



JHAPA: A woman died and the other 12 were injured while dousing an inferno that engulfed a house at Mechinagar municipality-7, Peepalchowk in Jhapa on Wednesday.

Sharada Rajbamshi, 45, of Mechinagar-8 died after a cylinder gad exploded while extinguishing the fire, shared spokesperson of District Police Office, DSP Basanta Pathak. The fire had ravaged the house of Keshab Pathak of Mechinagar-7.

Critically injured Sharada died on the way to Dhulabari for treatment. Other 12 local people were injured while working together to bring down the fire.

The fire was taken under control with the help of the fire engine of the municipality, police, and locals at 10.20 pm yesterday. RSS
