U.S. Army Civil-Military Support Element and Nepal’s APF undergo Medical First Responder training

KATHMANDU: Members of the U.S. Army Civil-Military Support Element and Nepal’s Armed Police Force completed a Medical First Responder training event in Pokhara last week.

The event focused on life-saving medical interventions and trauma patient assessments to Armed Police Force first responders.

Collaborating on activities like this ensure that first responders are ready to help when help is needed most, the US Embassy has said.

“Working together as we have for nearly 75 years, we know that the most immediate priority after a disaster strikes is providing emergency first aid and medical services to injured persons during the first 72 hours,” the embassy has posted on its Facebook page.

“This is why the Armed Police Force, Nepal and the U.S. Army are working hand in hand to ensure their first responders are standing ready when the call for assistance comes in,” it added.
