75 percent of Nepali migrant youths unskilled

KATHMANDU: Almost 74.5 percent of Nepali migrant workers are unskilled, according to an economic survey.

Nepali migrant workers have to be content with meager remuneration due to lack of skills. According to the survey, only 1.5 percent of skilled Nepali youths go abroad for foreign jobs and the percent of semi-skilled Nepali youths who go for foreign jobs is 24 percent.

A total of 4,365,415 Nepali youths have gone abroad for foreign jobs.
