INC Nepal demands investigation of assets of former CJs, and SC Judges

KATHMANDU: Independent National Campaign (INC) Nepal has filed a complaint demanding investigation into the assets of former Chief Justice and current judges of the Supreme Court alleging that most of them are involved in corruption in one way or another.

According to INC coordinator Swagat Nepal, the party has already prepared a draft of the complaint to be filed formally.

He informed that INC is planning to register it today.

INC has prepared to seek investigation into the assets of the Chief Justices and justices after t will be registered now will demand an investigation into the assets of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court after 2006.

INC convener Nepal informed that  the Campaign has demanded the investigation of the property of the incumbent and past officials of Nepal Bar Association as well.

Deepak Kumar Karki, Meera Khadka, Harikrishna Karki, Bishwambhar Prasad Pyakurel, Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada, Dr. Anand Mohan Bhattarai, Anil Kumar Sinha, Prakash Man Singh Raut, Sapna Pradhan Malla, Tej Bahadur KC, Bam Kumar Shrestha, Tank Bahadur Moktan, Prakash Kumar Dhungana, Sushmalatha Mathema, Kumar Regmi, Hari prasad Phuyal, Manoj Kumar Sharma, Kumar Chudal and Nahkul Subedi are the incumbent SC judges.

Similarly, INC has sought an investigation into the assets of former chief justices Dilip Kumar Poudel, Kedar Prasad Giri, Min Bahadur Rayamajhi, Anup Raj Sharma, Ram Prasad Shrestha, Khil Raj Regmi, Damodar Prasad Sharma, Ram Kumar Prasad Shah, Kalyan Shrestha, Sushila Karki, Gopal Parajuli and Om Prakash Mishra as well.
