NEPSE increases by 12.53 points

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 12.53 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2520.23 points.

A total of 8.32 million shares of 229 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 4.49 billion.

Shares of banking, trade, hotel, insurance, manufacturing, microfinance, and investment groups increased today. Shares of Development Bank, Finance, and Hydropower Group declined.

The highest number of shares of Himalayan Distillery worth Rs 362.4 million has been bought and sold.

Today, shares of Shikhar Insurance, Varun Hydro, and Jeevan Vikas Microfinance Company have risen more than nine percent.

Despite the rise in the overall market, shares of Gorkhaj Finance fell by nearly seven percent and shares of Sindhu Development Bank and Samling Power Company fell by more than four percent.
