Dr. Shashank still leading in NC central committee vote count



KATHMANDU: Dr. Shashank Koirala is still leading in the vote count for the central member at the 14th General Convention of the party.

The counting of votes for the ‘open’ category of central member is underway.

According to NC sources, Dr. Koirala has taken the lead in the ongoing polls. He has got 1313 votes out of 1589 votes counted so far.

Similarly, NP Saud has got 1022 votes, Bal Krishna Khand 975, Ramesh Lekhak 969, and Gyanendra Gyanendra Bahadur Karki 955 votes.

Under the ‘open’ category, 99 candidates are contesting for the posts of 35 central members of the party.
