47 percent of target population fully vaccinated against COVID-19

KATHMANDU: 47.5 percent of the target population in Nepal has been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the government set a target of vaccinating 199,222,164 people against coronavirus. Out of them, 59.1 million have been vaccinated against coronavirus.

The Ministry informed that Nepal has received 33.29 million doses of vaccine so far. Out of that, 21,238,623 doses have been vaccinated. 12051707 vaccines are still in stock.

The government is vaccinating 1.8 million children in 57 districts from December 19. The government is preparing to launch a vaccination campaign for children under 12 to 18 years of age by setting up a vaccination center at the school.
