Two minor girls killed as their house catches fire



SARLAHI: Two minor girls died in a fire that gutted a house in Sirsiya of Sarlahi district on Wednesday night.

The deceased have been identified as eight-year-old Laxmi Kumari and Sogandhi Kumari, 3, the daughters of Jogi Mahara Chamar of Kabilasi municipality-7, Sirsiya, confirmed District Police Office, Sarlahi.

The fire had apparently started due to short-circuit before it spread to the house with a thatched roof at around 9 pm yesterday.

Critically injured Laxmi Kumari and Sogandhi died while being rushed to Kathmandu, said Spokesperson Madhav Prasad Budhathoki.
