KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the government should take initiation to end the deadlock in the parliament.

Commenting after the main opposition party CPN-UML’s continual obstruction of the parliament and the practice of ending the parliament session without addressing the problem, leader Poudel urged government to work cautiously to end the obstruction.

He warned that UML Chair KP Oli is committed to prove the parliament ineffective as he (Oli) had tried to dissolve the federal parliament twice in six months.

“UML Chair Oli has been working cunningly to prove the parliament ineffective for he had tried to justify his attempt to dissolve the parliament twice in six months,” NC leader Poudel said, adding, “Government should play its role to make the parliament effective as inability to do so will destabilize the system and endanger democracy.”

Leader Poudel has drawn the attention of the general public to be aware of these objectionable activities (like obstruction in the parliament for irrelevant reason) pushing the nation towards uncertainty.
