ILAM: Two persons died and nine others sustained injuries in a road mishap occurred at Kanyam in Ilam district on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Bharat Ghimire and Ram Prasad Timilsena of Maijogmai rural municipality in the district. Ghimire and Timilsena died while receiving treatment in B and C Hospital, Jhapa, according to the hospital’s information officer Pranish Giri.
A bus (Me 1 Ja 3307) heading to Phikkal from Harkate bazaar in Suryodaya Municipality in the district fell some 100 meters off the road after losing control.
The driver of the vehicle has also sustained minor injuries. The injured are receiving treatment at different hospitals.
