NC President Deuba urges Nidhi to support him in second round of voting



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged party leader and presidential candidate Bimalendra Nidhi to support him in the second round of elections to be held today itself.

Deuba’s secretariat informed that Prime Minister Deuba had gone to Nidhi’s residence today.

In the first round, none of the five presidential candidates managed to get more than 50 percent of the votes cast.

Presidential candidate Deuba did not receive enough votes to win in the first round. He got 2258 votes.

Nidhi, meanwhile, got 249 votes.
