NC President Deuba to meet Nidhi

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba is meeting party leader and presidential candidate Bimalendra Nidhi to seek the latter’s support in the second round of elections to be held today itself.

Deuba’s secretariat informed that Prime Minister Deuba is going to Nidhi’s residence shortly.

In the first round, none of the five presidential candidates managed to get more than 50 percent of the votes cast.

Presidential candidate Deuba did not receive enough votes to win in the first round. He got 2258 votes.

Nidhi, meanwhile, got 249 votes.
