Industrialist Chaudhary files candidacy for NC central member

KATHMANDU: Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has filed candidacy for the post of central member in the Nepali Congress’ 14th general convention.

Chaudhary, who is also NC lawmaker, filed his nomination in open category from the Madhesi cluster.

After filing his candidacy, he said he was taking part in organizational politics for the first time.

He was unanimously elected general convention delegate from Nawalpur-1 from the Madhesi quota.

Chaudhary is also the coordinator of NC’s campaign ‘Gari Khana Deu’, meaning ‘Live and let live’. He is said to have registered his candidature in the Madhesi quota after analyzing that it would be difficult for him to win the election in the 35 central positions of the open category.
