Air pollution: Delhi schools to close from tomorrow till further orders

NEW DELHI: Schools in Delhi are to be closed from Friday till further orders, due to current air pollution levels in the city, India Today has reported.

The decision was announced by the Delhi Environment Minister, Gopal Rai.

“All schools in Delhi are to be closed from tomorrow till further orders, due to air pollution levels in the city,” said Environment Minister Gopal Rai.

The Supreme Court raised questions on the Delhi government to open schools amid the rising air pollution levels in the city.

It asked when the government implemented work from home for adults, then why children are being forced to go to school.

The Delhi government reopened schools on November 29, 2021.
