Three people killed in separate accidents



JUMLA: Three persons have died in two separate road accidents occurred in Jumla and Baglung today.

Two people were killed and as many injured when a bus met with an accident at Ghodenga, Sinja Rural Municipality -2 in Jumla district.

The bus (Na 6 Kha 4438) heading towards Nepalgunj from Gothijyula fell some 200 metres down the road, resulting in the fatalities, Chief District Officer, Bijaya Kumari Prasai said.

Police identified the deceased as Nabn Rawal and Bishal Bom. It is said only four persons were travelling in the bus. A police rescue team has been sent to the accident site.

An ambulance has also been sent to bring those injured in the incident to the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, the District Police Office said.

Similarly, a person died and three others have sustained injuries in a jeep accident occurred at Pala of Kathekhola Rural Municipality-1 in Baglung district.

The deceased is 45-year-old Shyam Sharma. Police said Sharma died on the spot. It is said seven persons were travelling in the jeep when it met the accident.

The driver and another passenger are absconding after the incident. Police is searching for them. Those injured in the accident are being treated at Dhaulagiri Hospital.
