Police arrest five gamblers from Koteshwor

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five gamblers from Koteshwor along with Rs. 650,000 on Tuesday.

A team deployed from Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Circle raided the house of Ishwar Karki in Koteshwar and arrested them while in the act.

A team deployed from Koteshwor Police recovered 20 packs of cards and Rs 658,000 from the arrested.

The arrested persons are Ishwar Karki, Nawaraj Thapaliya of Pepsicola, Deepak Tamang of Kavre, Deepak Timsina and Sagar KC of Ramechhap. Police said that legal action would be taken against them as per the Gambling Act.
