Nepal records 259 new COVID-19 cases, one death in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 259 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 243 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 16 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 78 persons in Kathmandu, 30 in Lalitpur, and 7 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 115 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, one more person has succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the coronavirus death toll in the country 11,524 till date.

Meanwhile, 264 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
