Biplav-called banda hits commuters in Valley



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Banda called by Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ has partially impacted in the Kathmandu Valley.

The NCP has organized this banda demanding withdrawal of the price-hike of the petroleum products. Few vehicles are seen plying the roads in the Kathmandu Valley since early morning today.

Commuters have been hit hard due to the banda. The passengers are awaiting vehicles at Kalanki, New Bus Park, Koteshwor, Balkhu and Balaju.

The government has mobilized security forces in various places to lessen the impact of the banda. Few public and private vehicles are plying the roads in the Valley, said police.
