Pfizer vaccine being administered to chronically ill above 12 years from today



KATHMANDU: The Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus will be administered from today.

Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, informed that the vaccination campaign has been launched targeting those who are chronically ill. The vaccination will continue until November 20.

The United States had provided one 100,620 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Nepal.

The Ministry has said two doses of Pfizer vaccine would be given to those above the age of 12.

The vaccines will be administered from 24 different hospitals across the country.

The government has decided to give the first dose of Pfizer vaccine to the chronically ill people above 12 years of age from Sunday.

Vaccination will be given in these 24 hospitals: 

– Ganga Lal Heart Center (Kathmandu)
– Teaching Hospital (Kathmandu)
– Bir Hospital (Kathmandu)
– Civil Service Hospital (Kathmandu)
– Birendra Sainik Hospital (Kathmandu)
– Patan Institute of Health Sciences (Lalitpur)
– Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital (Bhaktapur)
– Human Organ Transplant Center (Bhaktapur)
– Mechi Zonal Hospital (Bhadrapur)
– BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (Dharan)
– Kosi Zonal Hospital (Biratnagar)
– Gajendra Narayan Singh Institute of Health Sciences (Rajbiraj)
– Narayani Zonal Hospital (Birgunj)
– Janakpur Regional Hospital (Janakpur)
– BP Koirala Cancer Hospital (Bharatpur)
– Dhulikhel Hospital (Dhulikhel)
– Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences (Pokhara)
