CJ Rana enters the court despite obstruction by agitating lawyers (In pics)



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has entered the Supreme Court by evading the main gate.

Demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice, the Nepal Bar Association continued its agitation to prevent the Chief Justice from entering the Supreme Court today.

He entered the court after scheduling benches from his residence in Baluwatar.

CJ Rana entered through a side gate rather than the main gate.

Earlier today, agitating lawyers, who have been upping the ante against Chief Justice Rana, have clashed with the lawyers in favor of Rana.

Scuffle took place after the pro- Chief Justice Rana lawyers tried to intervene in the sit-in being staged by the agitating advocates of the Nepal Bar Association.

Police have taken five lawyers under control from the incident site to preempt any untoward incidents.
