NC set to hold 14th Gen Convention on Dec 10-12; schedule to remain unchanged



KATHMANDU: After making all the necessary preparations, Nepali Congress (NC) is set to hold the 14th General Conventions from December 10 to 12.

NC central election committee coordinator Mahadev Prasad Yadav said the schedule will not be changed and added that election officers have been deployed to all the districts to conduct the conventions.

A Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the NC is taking place on Sunday (November 14) to dwell on the preparations of the 14th General Convention.

The CWC meeting will form various sub committees to successfully conduct the general convention and prepare reports to be submitted in the mega event.

NC has conducted village/municipal conventions in 46 districts so far and district conventions up to 13 districts. Similarly, ward conventions are being in 14 districts – Sindhupalchowk, Dolpa, Banke, Kailali, Surkhet, Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Bara, Parsa, Rasuwa and Rautahat from November 13.

Likewise, village/municipal conventions have been scheduled for November 16 and provincial assembly convention on November 19 and House of Representatives Regional Convention and district convention with only one constituency on November 22 and the one having more than one constituency on November 26.
