Pfizer antiviral pill to bring down COVID death by 89 %

KATHMANDU: American biopharmaceutical company Pfizer has claimed that its newly manufactured antiviral pill is 89 percent effective to protect people from the COVID-19.

This coronavirus pill has to be taken as soon as the symptoms are seen in the patient. The patient has to take the pills regularly for five days with three pills a day.

It is learnt that the company has already submitted an application with the regulatory body in America for its emergency use.

Companies have rolled up their sleeves to manufacture antiviral pill that is expected to reduce the burden of hospitals and medical persons.

Easy-to-deliver antiviral pills that blunt infections could be a powerful addition to the medical tool kit to manage the pandemic and equip the world for a future in which the coronavirus continues to circulate.
