Nepal Airlines: Dubai flight delayed due to routine safety check

KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation has responded to media reports regarding its aircraft operations, emphasizing that passenger safety remains its top priority.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Corporation clarified that its 9N-AKW aircraft has resumed flights following necessary maintenance in Bhairahawa.

It assured that all flights are conducted in compliance with international aviation standards and regulatory guidelines.

The statement further explained that during a routine pre-flight check on Wednesday, the pilot detected a technical issue in the 9N-AKW aircraft before its scheduled departure to Dubai.

Prioritizing passenger safety, the flight was suspended. The Corporation later arranged for all passengers to be flown to Dubai on its 9N-AKX aircraft.

Nepal Airlines reiterated its commitment to operating flights only after ensuring full airworthiness in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and aviation regulations.
