Party will take action against ministers not working on behalf of people: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the party will take immediate action against those ministers not working in favor of the people. He added action would be taken even if such ministers were senior-ranking leaders in the party.

Speaking at a program in Bhaktapur on Thursday, Dahal said, “We will take action against ministers regardless of how senior they are in the party if they do not work for the people. We have moved ahead with the understanding of taking immediate action against the minister who does not work on behalf of the people.”

He said that ministers at the center and provincial levels were notified about the policy. Dahal added ministers nominated by the party were working sustainably, in a long-term manner, so far.
