Nepal reports new 408 COVID-19 cases, 518 recoveries in past 24 hrs



KATHMANDU: A total of 408 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Nepal in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The new cases were confirmed from the 7,899 samples tested during the same period, the Ministry said in its routine virtual press meet on Sunday.

Similarly, 518 infected ones were recovered on Sunday. A total of eight people succumbed to the infection in the past 24 hours, the Ministry said.

Meanwhile, 38,815 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Sunday alone. Currently, the number of active COVID-19 case stands at 9,376.
