Nepal records 672 new COVID-19 cases, 8 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 202 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 672 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 582 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 90 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 137 persons in Kathmandu, 50 in Lalitpur, and 15 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 202 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 8 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 495 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
