KATHMANDU: Chitwan Tigers defeated Kathmandu Kings XI by three wickets in the ninth match of the Everest Premier League (EPL) played at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Thursday.
Chasing the 142-run target set by Kathmandu, Chitwan reached the target in 18.4 overs by losing seven wickets.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Kathmandu Kings XI has set a target of 142-run to Chitwan Tigers. Kathmandu scored 141 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing 8 wickets. Sourav Khanal contributed 35 runs off 34 balls for Kathmandu.
Raju Rijal scored 28 runs while Janak Prakash contributed 26 runs.
Chitwan’s Sagar Dhakal took 4-21 in four overs. While Karim Jannat took two wickets, Kamal Airy and Sekuge Prashant took one wicket each.
Kathmandu, captained by Sandeep Lamichhane, defeated Lalitpur Patriots by 7 wickets in the first match.
