Nepal sees 1,158 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,158 new cases of coronavirus while 1,550 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 904 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 254 from antigen method.

Likewise, there are 270 cases in Kathmandu, 44 in Bhaktapur and 69 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 383 in past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 12 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours.
