13 gamblers land in police net



KATHMANDU: Police have rounded up 13 gamblers from Kageshwari Manohara Municipality in Kathmandu along with Rs 1.9 million in cash.

According to the Metropolitan Police Sector, Kandaghari, they were arrested from Kageshwari Manohara-7 at around 12 Wednesday midnight along with seven sets of playing cards.

Police arrested them while they were playing cards at the house of Kamal Dahal, a local, at midnight. Necessary legal action has been initiated against the arrested, police said.

Meanwhile, police have arrested six people from Kapan in Kathmandu for gambling. Police said that they were held along with Rs 25,505 in cash yesterday evening.
