Minister Yadav denies manhandling of employees as reported in media

KATHMANDU: Industry Minister Matrika Yadav dismissed media reports about his involvement in manhandling or engaging in a scuffle with the government employees on Wednesday afternoon.

“The news, in fact, is not correct,” he told Khabarhub. According to him, a group of Nepali Congress-affiliated employees came to his office, started misbehaving with his personal secretary. “After hearing the hullabaloo, I came out of my office and categorically told them to refrain from acting like political leaders, and creating trouble in my office.”

He accused the group of NC-affiliated government staffers of trying to impose their decision. “In fact, they came to my office to pressurize me in the transfer process of some staffers in the departments or ministries where they can freely take bribes,” he said adding that the unions should work for the cause of the employees, not engage in unnecessary politics.

“When I shouted back, they went away,” Minister Yadav said.
