Nepal records 1,089 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 453 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,089 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 976 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 113 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 288 persons in Kathmandu, 98 in Lalitpur, and 67 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 453 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 20 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,534 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
