Photo book featuring photos of tourist destinations of Taplejung published



KATHMANDU: A photo book featuring a collection of photos of many tourist destinations of the district has hit the market.

Published by Taplejung Development Journalist Forum with the assistance of the Nepal Tourism Board, the photo book has featured 101 photos of the tourist destinations of the district that have been overshadowed including that of the world’s third tallest mountain, Mt Kanchanjunga.

Best 101 photos were chosen from a total of 1,305 photos of tourist destinations of the district for the book, it has been said.

Earlier, the book was launched amid a function in Kathmandu. Winners of the photo contest organized to choose photos for the book were honored amid a function in Taplejung on Saturday.

Former Tourism Minister and Member of the House of Representatives Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai handed awards and certificates to the winners. On the occasion, Bhattarai expressed the hope that this book would help promote tourism of the district. “I hope the book will help expose tourist destinations of the district and increase inflow of domestic and foreign tourists here.”
