HAN calls for protecting hotel industry

KATHMANDU: A delegation of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) called on Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma  on Wednesday and urged for positive intervention to protect the hotel industry hardest hit by COVID-19 pandemic.

The team led by HAN’s President Srijana Rana appraised Minister Sharma about the issues facing hotel industry in the country and presented a recommendation letter on how to protect the hotel industry.

Receiving the recommendation letter, Sharma empathized that the hotel industry was hardest hit by the ongoing pandemic and pledged utmost support from the government to protect this industry.

Rana appealed to the Minister for the earliest implementation of the provisions for the hotel industry as mentioned in the budget for the current fiscal year 2021/22 and the monetary policy for the ongoing fiscal year.
