Three arrested with tiger’s illegal body parts in Tanahun



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons with illegal tiger skin, skull and bones from Byas Municipality-5 on Saturday evening.

The arrested are identified as Arjun Shrestha, 39, of Sirubari, Byas Municipality, Sanjit Gurung, 40, of Shuklagandaki Municipality and Santosh Gurung, 32, of Ratanpur, Byas. Police seized tiger skins, bones, mobile phones and cash from them.

A joint team of police dispatched from Kathmandu and Tanahu arrested them for suspicious behavior and recovered illegal wildlife parts from them.

They have been sent to the District Forest Office, Damauli, for further investigation, said District Police Office, Tanahun.
