Mother, son die after being swept away by rivulet



KATHMANDU: A woman and her son died after being swept away by Gwar khola (rivulet) on Monday afternoon.

Amrita Gharti, 35, of Simleni at Tulasipur Sub-metropolitan City and her two-year-old son, Rudra, were swept away when they were trying to cross the rivulet, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Dang, Mukunda Prasad Rijal.

The bodies of both mother and son were found two kilometers downstream, added Rijal.
