Chief Minister Rai vows to construct IT Park in State-1



BIRATNAGAR: Chief Minister of State-1 Sherdhan Rai today said the state government is planning to construct an IT Park in the province soon.

Speaking at an inaugural program of the two-day Start-up and Innovation IT Fair in Biratnagar today, Chief Minister Rai said there would be huge opportunities in the education, health, tourism and employment sectors by using the IT.

He also urged the private sector to cooperate with the state government to organize the multinational information technology summit claiming that such an event would help in the state’s prosperity.

He maintained that the state budget has already put an emphasis on the utilization of IT saying that works to transform the state into a ‘digital state’ will start from the upcoming fiscal year.
