NC’s largest active members range between ages 41 to 60

Distributes new memberships to 443,678

KATHMANDU: Active Membership Probe Committee of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has submitted its report to party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

According to the Committee, the number of active members including both old and new has reached 852,711 active members.

Of them, the largest number of active members is in the age group between 41 and 60. According to the report submitted by the probe panel, the number of active members aged 41 to 60 is put at 328,234 (37.3%)

Similarly, the active members aged 26 to 40 are 249,774 (28.38%) and those aged 16 to 25 are 40,427 (4.59%).

Likewise, the number of active members aged 60 to 75 is put at 83,010 (9.43%) and those above 75 years of age are 11,783 (1.33%).

The party has renewed the active memberships of 409,003 and distributed new active memberships to 443,678 people, according to the Committee.

The Committee led by central member Ramesh Lekhak has submitted the report to Prime Minister Deuba during the meeting of the office-bearers held in Budhanilkantha today.
