MoHP directs provinces to ensure stock of 1,000 cylinders



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has directed all province social development ministries to ensure the stock of at least 1,000 cylinders in each province.

Issuing a press release on Monday, the ministry has alerted that as the rate of corona infection are rising sharply of late, another wave is likely to follow.

The ministry instructed provincial supply centers to fill oxygen cylinders to meet the potential challenge.

“Existing cylinders should not be left empty and the oxygen PSA plants, oxygen tanks and oxygen concentrators should be kept in working condition keeping the possibility of another outbreak in view,” the MoHP said.
