KATHMANDU: Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has congratulated Sher Bahadur Deuba on his fifth appointment as the prime minister of Nepal and wished him a successful tenure.

She also invited her counterpart to visit Dhaka and proposed to explore and expand partnership in a new area of ​​cooperation.

In her congratulatory message to Prime Minister Deuba, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Hasina said the overwhelming vote for Deuba in the Parliament was a testament to the trust and confidence placed on him by the Nepali people and the country’s political leadership.

Recalling the good relations between Bangladesh and Nepal as close neighbors, she said in the message that the relationship was based on pluralism and common ground.
