Upper House members seek smooth operation of RAHS

KATHMANDU: Members of the National Assembly (NA) have asked the government to arrange budget and human resources to ensure the smooth operation of Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS).

Speaking at the zero hour of the Upper House session on Wednesday, lawmaker Anita Devkota asked for allocation of budget to improve the condition of RAHS, which said claimed has been serving the people of Ropla, Rukum, Dang, and Salyan districts.

NA member Komal Oli urged the government to create an atmosphere to ensure that people of the region could receive treatment from the KAHS.

Lawmaker Kabita Bogati said that people’s activities in the Karnali region have been adversely affected due to lack of employees.

Meanwhile, three bills — “Federal, State and Local Level (Inter-Relations Management) Bill, 2075 BS”,  “Bill to amend some laws related to education, 2075”, and “Evidence (second amendment) Bill, 2075 BS” were presented during today’s session.

The NA will meet on May 10.
