Nepali lovebirds in Kuwait commit suicide



DOHA: A pair of Nepali lovebirds has committed suicide in Kuwait.

Ranjit Ghimire of Nuwakot and Pesi Sherpa of Solukhumbu have committed suicide.

It is learned that they committed suicide because of repeated scuffles between the two.

Ghimire worked for a multinational company in Kuwait, while Sherpa was a domestic worker in a house. They had planned to get married in Nepal.

Ghimire committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his room while his girlfriend Sherpa was committed suicide by hanging herself with her scarf at her landlord’s house.

He committed suicide on June 25, according to Kuwaiti police.

The embassy in Kuwait has said that the body of the deceased Sherpa has been sent to Nepal and the body of Ghimire will be sent soon after completing the necessary legal process.
