NC Veep Nidhi tries to woo Ram Chandra Poudel to support him

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi has held talks with senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel.

Nidhi held talks with Poudel at the latter’s residence in Boharatar a day after an agreement was reached between General Secretary Shashank Koirala and former General Secretary Prakash Man Singh to expedite talks with other leaders.

On Tuesday at Singh’s residence in Chaksibari, Nidhi, Koirala, and Singh had agreed to hold discussions with leaders who had claimed for the Party’s president.

They also agreed to hold discussions with central members at Koirala’s residence on Friday. Nidhi has decided to become the party’s president. He has sought help from Poudel for the post.

But Poudel urged to play a supportive role in resolving disputes over integration and active membership, as there is time to prepare for the convention.

As Nidhi is the party’s deputy president, Poudel said that the role of resolving the disputes seen in the adjustment is important now.

Poudel’s personal secretary Chiranjeevi Adhikari said that discussions were held between Poudel and Nidhi on resolving the adjustment dispute.

Disputes have also been seen in Sindhupalchowk, Bara, Saptari, and other districts where active membership has been distributed.

Poudel has said that the party’s resolving disputes including adjustment and for the general convention to be discussed even first.
