SC issues interim order to allow Maoist Center expelled local representatives to work



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has issued an interim order to allow the local level representatives who deserted the party they were elected from to resume their responsibilities.

According to sources, a bench of Justice Kumar Chudal gave an interim order to allow the Mayor of Rautahat’s Maulapur Municipality Rinakumari Sah and the Mayor of Katahariya Municipality Siyaram Kushwaha to resume work.

Both mayors were elected from CPN-Maoist Center but had joined Prime Minister KP Oli led CPN-UML along with many central leaders of the party.

Earlier, Maoist Center had expelled them from the party and had informed the Election Commission about the action taken against them.
