Parliament will be reinstated, Deuba will become PM: JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav has claimed that the House of Representatives will be restored and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will become the Prime Minister.

Talking to reporters on Saturday, JSP Chairman expressed confidence that the Supreme Court would issue an order asking Deuba to be sworn in as the Prime Minister.

“Parliament will be also restored, and democracy will be protected,” he said confidently.

Chairman Yadav remarked that some leaders of the party had joined the government even though the government had not met any of their demands.

“No one’s case has been withdrawn, no demand has been met,” he said, “Prime Minister KP Oli does not want to listen to the demands of Madhes.”

Yadav accused Prime Minister Oli of playing a big game on the issue of citizenship. Stating that the citizenship bill, which has already been tabled in the parliament, was brought from the ordinance rather than passing it from the parliament.

Answering the question about the fate of JSP leaders who got sacked from the cabinet, Chairman Yadav said that they could be accepted in the party if they realized their mistakes and self-criticized themselves.
