KATHMANDU: Despite the government easing the ban on the second wave of COVID-19, more than 45,000 people are actively infected. There are more than 500 active infections in 31 districts.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of active infected people across the country is 45,794 as of Saturday morning. Almost all districts in the country have some active cases.

MoHP informed that there are more than 500 active cases of coronavirus in Morang, Sunsari and Jhapa of Province 1, Bara and Dhanusha of Province 2.
Similarly, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Kavreplanchok, Makwanpur, Dhading, Sindhpalchowk, Sindhuli and Nuwakot of Bagmati and Kaski, Gorkha, Nawalparasi (East), Myagdi, Baglung and Parbat of Gandaki also have got more than 500 cases each.
Likewise, Dang, Banke, Rupandehi, Palpa, Bardiya and Nawalparasi (west) of Lumbini, Surkhet of Karnali and Kailali, Baitadi and Achham in the Sudurpaschim province have also large number of active cases.
The Ministry of Health has put the districts with more than 500 active infected cases as the districts at high risk.
Accordingly, there are more than 200 actively infected people in Udaypur, Sankhuwasabha and Panchthar of Province 1, Parsa, Mahottari, Siraha, Saptari, Rautahat and Sarlahi of Province 2, and Dolakha and Ramechhap of Bagmati Province.
Similarly, Lamjung, Tanahu and Syangja in Gandaki, Kapilvastu in Lumbini, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi and Rolpa, Dailekh in Karnali, Rukum West and Jumla and Dadeldhura, Kanchanpur and Doti in the Sudurpaschim have more than 200 active cases of the coronavirus.
Out of 77 districts in the country, 75 have imposed some sorts of restrictions or prohibitory orders. Manang and Khotang have not imposed prohibitory orders till date.
Nepal has seen 631,152 coronavirus cases across the country out of which 576,413 people have recovered are now in good health. 8,945 people have lost their lives from the pandemic in the country.
