Lockdown relaxed from today; private vehicles operate under odd-even rule



KATHMANDU: The prohibitory order which has been in place since April 29 has been relaxed in districts including the Kathmandu Valley from today.

Private vehicles have started operating under odd-even rule. Jewelry shops, electronic shops, automobile showrooms, mobile and computer and utensil shops are allowed to operate from 11 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Similarly, shopping malls, sports shops, clothes, shoes, cosmetics, gifts, fancy shops are allowed to operate from 11 am to 4 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Groceries, dairy, fruits, vegetable and meat shops, departmental store, stationary are allowed to run until 11 am.

Construction material, hardware, sanitary, furniture shops will be allowed to operate from 11 am to 6 pm while workshops are allowed to operate until 7 pm.

However, assemblies, cinema halls, party palace, swimming pools, beauty parlor, gym, library, zoo, footshal are not allowed to open. Similarly public vehicles are restricted until June 28.

More than three people are not allowed in a taxi and four in a van and car.
