KATHMANDU: Notorious criminal RK Yadav, who had been absconding after committing various crimes in Nepal, has been arrested from New Delhi, the capital city of India.
Yadav has been accused of committing dozens of crimes including murder, robberies in both Nepal and India.
A joint police team from Nepal and India arrested Yadav from Delhi, who had featured in the most wanted list of the police. He had been hiding in India for the last few years.
Yadav along with his accomplice Umesh Yadav had kidnapped Somnath Yadav of Jhijol village, Siraha, and demanded Rs 10 million in ransom.
SP Manoj Kumar of Supaul district of India succeeded to arrest Yadav following a red corner notice issued by New Delhi.
Chief of Pradesh 2 Police Office DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh had coordinated with the Indian Police in the arrest of Yadav.
Yadav had reportedly dumped the body of Somnath into the Koshi River after murder.
